massachusetts institute of technology freshman admissions portal/community v. 2.0

With programs in eight countries around the world, the MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives (MISTI) is among the principal international programs at MIT.

Each year, MISTI sends over 200 MIT students of all disciplines and academic levels to rigorous, hands-on, tailored internships abroad. These three to 12-month internships are organized through MISTI's country programs in partnership with MISTI's network of leading companies, research institutes and universities around the world. Students selected to participate must complete intensive language and cultural training before going abroad.

For more information, please visit the MISTI website.
